Donerre has acquired an international reputation in its specific field as engineering and design bureau for dampers. Donerre is frequently consulted for carrying out complex projects. Our know-how in the field of dampers (more generally ‘cushioning’) may be exploited for various purposes, including the following examples.
• Damper for sand yacht
In order to beat the record ‘sailing around the world’ we have realised the amortization of a module containing all the transmission equipment of the yacht.
• Damper and fork for racing bike launched|
In 1998 Donerre designed the damper and fork for the ‘vélo de Kilomètre’, the racing bike of Christian Taillefer, launched to compete for the speed record on snow.
He reached about 210 km/h.
• Concept of suspension kinematics|
Donerre fabricated the new kinematics of the mountain bike of Karim Amour in order to participate in the world championships downhill.
• Damper for tension cable (suspended viaduct)
In order to stabilize the construction of a suspended viaduct, Donerre was asked to propose a solution for damping the tension cables of the viaduct. This should stop vibrations of the tension cables caused by strong winds.
|• Damper for rocket launching site|
Specific « astronomical! » damper solutions for missile base applications. Space is the limit for Donerre.
• « Kang » improvement|
The purpose of this study was to design/size the suspension so that a user of 85kg may jump 2 meters high and the kang still absorbs shock without stopping it. The second part of the study focused on reducing manufacturing costs.
• Front fork
We developed a unique fork construction, incorporating all the knowhow and technologies of Donerre.
