Only classic rally which propose, in Switzerland, time trials on closed roads, the Gstaad Classic Audemars Piguet makes his return for a second edition, from the 31st August to the 4th September 2011. The timing of the event has been chosen carefully to avoid the désalpe period, when herds leave their pastures (often crossing roads).

This event assemble more than 80 Tourism, GT and Sports cars, registered between 1930 and 1976.
It is organised in part by Peter Auto, with a strict selection of the right cars. Moreover, it offers to the competitors the choice to subscribe themselves in the ''Competition'' class, or in the ''Regularity'' class.
Another attractions of this historic rally : the scenic route and the delicious and festive catering with gala dinners, picturesque lunches and discovery of surprising locations.

The famous biennial rally is consisted of three days of rally throughout the Swiss Alps : a different loop every day (always starting from Gstaad), punctuated by special stages (timed stages) on closed roads (10 at the final) and with a slalom.

Here is the program of these 3 races days :

-----------------------------

- DAY 1 (thursday the 1st September)

260 km along the mountain roads and 5 timed stages in the core of Lavaux, a region listed at the UNESCO World heritage.
The ride through the terraced vineyards is a unique set for the crews who benefit from a scenic view over the Leman Lake.
The lunch at Aigle's medieval fortified castle is one of the event highlights.

-----------------------------

- DAY 2 (friday the 2nd September)

With 300 km and 4 road stages, Friday is the longest day. A special one for the ''Gentlemen Drivers'' who drive on the stars trails. Indeed, they cover part of legendary Ollon Villars, part of former World Hill Climb Championship in the '60's.
The rally also visited Grindelwald, famous through the shooting of “On
her Majesty's Secret Service'' James Bond movie; but also for its exceptional view over the Eiger glacier.
